What is a family foundation? How does it work?

A family foundation receives money from members of a single family. At least one family member, but generally more, serves as a foundation officer or board member. Throughout the foundation’s life, family members have an important part in governing and/or administering it. Individual family foundations tend to reflect the personal concerns of the families that govern them. Grantmaking areas and how cash is distributed differ greatly from one family foundation to the next. About the Nnaji Family.
