No, we support grantees’ advocacy activities with Foundation finances, such as research and analysis, education, and information to the general public, policymakers, and other groups. We do not sponsor campaigning as defined by the Codes of Non government agency (NGO)  for private foundations. This standard is established in the Foundation’s grantee agreements. Although foundations are not permitted to lobby, the One Africa One People Foundation commits much of its efforts to advocating for reforms in policy.

While the economy continues to face challenges, we remain committed to our mission and look for approaches to maximise long-term investments to reach our strategic goals. The tremendous economic sink has impacted the finances of our grantees, as well as our own. We are continuing to work with our grantees on their issues, allowing flexibility in grant conditions and, to the best of our ability, through our Organisational Effectiveness and Mission Investing initiatives.

A family foundation receives money from members of a single family. At least one family member, but generally more, serves as a foundation officer or board member. Throughout the foundation’s life, family members have an important part in governing and/or administering it. Individual family foundations tend to reflect the personal concerns of the families that govern them. Grantmaking areas and how cash is distributed differ greatly from one family foundation to the next. About the Nnaji Family.
